A Journey of Fulfilment:
The inception of SECAB Women’s degree college in 1974 was a landmark in the
academic life of the then undivided district of Bijapur. It was a long cherished
dream of Mr. S.A. Punekar, the President of the SECAB Association to establish
an Arts and Science First grade college exclusively for women. Thus, the journey
began with Arts Section. And since then over these three and a half decades the
institution has been growing both in strength and in the quality of education.
It has produced thousands of qualified women graduates with skill, confidence
and wisdom to face life’s challenges and have been making contributions be it
their domestic, professional and social life.
Emancipation of Women
Enabling the college to be committed towards making the students
sufficiently competent and willing, to take up issues confronting them
individually and the society in everyday life.
