VIJAYAPURA 17: Our graduate girls should be ready to work in any corner of the world by using their skills, knowledge and fearless attitude, thus said Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women's University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sabiha.
As chief guest at the Annual Social Gathering and felicitation to meritorious students of SECAB's ARS Inamdar Arts, Science, Commerce College and P G Centre for Women, Vijayapura, she said. She appreciated the efforts of the parents in encouraging their daughters for higher education and jobs. The graduate girls should not be after high scoring marks but instead they should develop humanistic values, she added. The girls must be self sufficient and ready to take the responsibilities of the families which ultimately contribute in the upliftment of the society.
Chandbibi was a medieval time administrator of this Deccan area. She learnt more languages & mixed with the common people became a popular leader warrior our girls also develop their skills like Chandbibi Dr. Sabiha said.
Founder and President of SECAB Association Sri. S A Punekar, in his Presidential remarks expressed the concern for female foeticide.
The college Alumni Association President Ms. Analisa Bosco recalled the contribution of the college in the empowerment of women. SECAB Association's General Secretary Sri. A S Patil, College Governing Council Chairman Sri. Riyaz Farooqui, Director Sri. A M Bagali, Sri. Nazeeb Bakshi, Cultural activities Chairperson Smt. Bhagyashree Sewatkar and college student's union general secretary Miss Mahima Rathod were present.
